The article is making a big assumption. There’s nothing showing that people who feel they aren’t compensated fairly are the ones who want to leave or that money is even the reason. This is a gross speculation. I’m sure it is a part of the decision and may even be why for a lot of people, but there’s no proof of that. I know I feel like I’m underpaid and have been looking outside, but the money isn’t why.
The bar chart clearly shows that feeling fairly compensated strongly correlates negatively with the desire to change jobs. In other words, those who feel compensated unfairly want to switch jobs. And Microsoft scores the worst.
