Blind, the perfect tool for corporate espionage?
This seems like a perfect platform for spying if you are a competitor or journalist. All you need to do is to set up a LinkedIn profile saying you work at the company and use that to create your profile to get access to that company forum. A company forum that according to Blind is “co-workers only”. Hang around in there for a while and then start posting questions like “I heard product X will be canceled. Why do you think that is?” and wait for people to jump in to deny (confirming the product is being built) or arguing why or why not it’s being cancelled (exposing details around the product). You can then use those details to gain credibility and ask more detailed questions.
I had to confirm via my company email so not sure how would you forge the company email, unless blind does not do that verification Anymore
Was a time Uber blocked blind email, in response blind stopped to require any verification... So at least in the Uber lounge we need to assume that nothing is private, regardless there are a ton of confidential information available 😩
There is also the fact that Blind can’t know if you have left the company. So someone leaving for a competitor would still have access to all of those conversations.

I dont think you can post if you sign up using Linkenin profile. Also you get read only access only for Topics section. No access to Tech Lounge or Company stuffs. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
