Is the policy the same now?
Tons of people have, pretty easy. Either DM hiring manager or hit PATH<GO> for openings. Policy is min 1 year overseas to qualify to L1. I knew a guy that did it the moment he hit 1 year + 1 day. Then after 1 year in the US they'll start your green card, although it's not uncommon to negotiate to have them start it right away.
