Trying to decide between an offer from Bloomberg and Addepar for Senior SE/SE II role Bloomberg Team: Asset Investment Manager Pay: 198k base + 42k bonus Addepar Team: Completely new team for a new product being worked on Pay: 160k base + 100k stock option units priced at $1.15 Pay is better at Bloomberg but obviously stocks options could be a game changer when Addepar goes public. Tech stack might be a bit legacy at Bloomberg from what little info I could get on the team so far. Concerned a little about the WLB at Addepar since the team and product is being built from scratch. YOE: 5 years TC: 135k #tech
Bloomberg is more than a bit legacy. It will be lost years in your career. Addepar is growing very fast and you will have more impact
I'm joining Addepar in a couple months. One thing to remember is that their equity can be sold on private markets, so it does have actually value right now.
Addepar beats Bloomberg in every way from comp, working environment to career development. $1.1 is probably the strike for your options but the actual valuation.
Yes
