Gives your resume relatively the same boost. Better WLB, similar to more money at BB, and New York is a much better city to live in

Do you have a preference in either state? If you do, I would go with that option
Do you think growth wise Amazon is better?
Honestly there's no way to predict this because important factors in growth are team, manager and mentors. At this point, both look like good companies so I have nothing differentiating them. Some same Amazon does make resume a little more impressive but as someone from Amazon I don't really believe that.
Take Amazon. Bloomberg is a deadbeat place.

If you're young and willing to put in the hard work (long hours *potentially*), then Amazon will go a long way in helping set up your career trajectory. I spent 4 years there, across 3 teams, and the amount I learned there is unmatched. I would have left at the 3 year mark but stayed to cash in my final big vest. If I had kids back then, I would have quit much sooner (1 year mark) as it definitely impacted my work life balance. Each team is obviously different but I would say this is the experience more often than not.
