I have an upcoming Boeing interview for IT engineer role. What can I expect in the interview and how do I prepare? Tc- 0 Currently laid off
I interviewed last year for a SWE role. The first round for me was STAR format but the following round had a small coding question. I think each team varies how they interview though
STAR format and almost all questions must be prepared in advance. Many interviewers won’t have either the opportunity or the desire to go off script or pursue lines of questions not developed and signed off on in advance
Hi, how did the interview go? Also I'm curious, why are you moving from Amazon to Boeing? Can the TC come close to matching up? I had a chat with the hiring manager and he was really selling their team to me. But I'm worried it might close future doors for me in technology companies.
Hey.. The interview was what people said. It was STAR based and follow up questions on what I spoke. I got laid off from Amazon and got this interview. I’m not worried about the TC right now
Thank you! What level were you going for? The L4 level is being advertised to me - wonder if it's too low. I'm PhD+5 years.
OP- did you end up getting an offer from Boeing?
I conducted probably 100 Boeing interviews and it is always behavioral interview questions. 4-6 of them... And the questions are always based on the Boeing leadership attributes.. .. eg. Tell me about a time when...... It's been 5 years since I left Boeing, but knowing ,Boeing, little has changed. Just pre prepare multiple stories (situation, task, action, result) that speak to each leadership principal. Take the time to write them down in a narrative. Then go into interview and ace it by reciting your stories... So easy
Thank you so much! They have given a link with slides regarding STAR model. I will prepare accordingly
Yeah nothing has really changed
