Title. Prequalified since Q4 last year. Came time to go through the final steps and underwriter said Carta statements look fake so they denied my loan app even though I have been sending them the exact same carta format for 6 mo. Another lender picked up the pieces and turned me around in 2 days from initial touch point to submitting to underwriter. And they didn’t tell me that Carta statements are fake. Thanks BofA. Lost my 3.625% rate lock. TC: 2.2 🥜 where 🥜 = $100k
Sounds like they were just trying to get out of the rate since they’re going up?
Yup, I know. Submitted CFPB complaint, and I’m going to go full Karen and put together a doc with all communications and send it to the top. Not that I expect anything to change, but fuck them.
Made up reason to get themselves out of the rate lock.
This^
Apologies, just updated
Not a fan of this 🥜=100k conversion rate - not until we working class folks get a half-peanut emoji added to Unicode and maybe a one-third-peanut too. U+1ffff HALF PEANUT EMOJI; preparing my submission now! (OP, in seriousness, what kind of rate did the new bank give you? Maybe you can refinance at some point if it's that bad.)
I’ll find out on Monday but I fall into the top credit bracket so whatever that correlates to for 30 year fixed You just gotta do stuff like 0.5 🥜 When I left college and worked for Uncle Sam I made less than 0.4 🥜 lol
If you got the top credit bracket then your rate should be competitive with what BoA was offering. I am at 0.4 🥜 now on your scale; I am paid in rapidly devaluing yen... 😭
BofA lost trust in Blend equity?
Whats carta statement
Company that deals with company equity grants and management - all of my Blend equity was managed by Carta before we switched Think of them as a brokerage for startup companies to manage equity for employees Like if you get your shares issued in Fidelity it’s like that, but BofA said “your equity statements look fake”
Maybe they cant verify how much the equity worth
Why are you surprised? Bank of America is shit.
Not surprised, but builder required I go through BofA
Never heard a lender require you to use an. They give incentives if you do, but its not required.
