I saw a Googler ( Male ) hit a lady multiple times in the cafe, should I report?
Was interviewing for a senior architect role in the network programming group. Crammed for days on ocaml, ombp, sockets and all that other happy horseshit and 2 bgp questions threw me off. Unreal. Since it matters Herr, current TC is 380k
Sorry to hear that, OP. Unfortunately, it happens to everyone at some point. Learn from it, dust yourself off, keep applying for other positions, and reapply to Jane Street after its cool off period.
Thanks man. Trying my hand at HRT and Two Sigma also.
Too bad. BGP is pretty elementaey though isnt it? It's graduate level stuff.
bgp can get very large and complex as I'm sure you know.
Sounds like arrogance might have been a problem
Did they reject you already or has the interview just finished? You never know until the end if it’s the former.
Not rejected yet but when you know you know. Lol
Aww. I hope you found something good after all
What was the TC of the role you were interviewing for ?
Jane street is what it is. 300k base + bonus
Almost like cramming for a few days doesn't make up for years of legitimate experience. Weird
At the risk of sounding like a fossil I have been doing this likely since you were floating around a testicle.
Then apparently you just aren't good enough, sorry 🤷
Wtf is bgp
Did you not take a networking class in college?
@Workday not everyone studied computer engineering in school.
Do we get to know all the submissions once we submit our interview experience?
Where do you view other submissions?
What was the question?
That sucks. But interviewing for a network programming team how did you not spend time on BGP?
They asked me stuff about atomic aggregates (not common) and evpn which I don't have practical application with. Just how it goes I guess.
What's BGP?
