Any idea how much the annual bonus component would be at Goldman Sachs for tech? The recruiter says it could be as big as 50% of your base. Is that true? Location: London
Not for back office tech. 50%+ bonus is for the front office. Maybe if you’re working on trading systems directly. What area?
If you're working on front office tech (trading systems and platforms, implementing electronic trading strategies, Marcus etc) the bonus is pretty solid. If it's back office tech/IT/systems, not so much unless you're managing people (i.e. ED+)
Is the 50 an average or max? Do platform teams get that? Or is just the business facing teams?
Hi ??!!!, Can you try to help me with my questions at https://us.teamblind.com/s/57AYscjP Would really appreciate it. Thank you!
Any clue what first bonus is like in the first 1-2 years?
Hey ssye57, Can you try to help me with my questions at https://us.teamblind.com/s/57AYscjP Would really appreciate it. Thank you!
Did you join Goldman then? I have the same question about bonuses.
Bonus is horrible. Please don’t join based on what recruiter says. Most of the time you will be very disappointed by it. Based on what I have seen, high performers get 15-20% and you can’t expect that evey year either.
Varies on team, depending on the MD in the group they have money to allocate so can decide how to redistribute. higher in front office tech usually. Can be over 50% even in good cases
Any idea when these are paid? Have an offer with them now.
