Hi all, I am a new(ish) grad (May 2022) currently working as a process engineer (non-tech role) in supply chain. I have been looking to transition into the data engineering field for a while now and recently received an offer from Booz Allen Hamilton for a Data Engineer role. I would be jumping directly onto a project that mainly uses Palantir Foundry, with a chance to use PySpark. I have some experience with SQL and Python from college but not enough to excel at a Leetcode interview. The WLB on my current team is great and everyone is super friendly, but I hate the work I do and really want to move into data engineering. I've heard some bad things regarding BAH and have never had experience with consulting work, so would it be wise to leave my current role for BAH? Would it be wise to ask for a higher base salary at BAH? What is the WLB at BAH? Current base: $87k Booz Allen Hamilton Data Engineer (Senior Consultant): $83k #dataengineering #dataengineer #boozallenhamilton #consulting
