Got an offer for 100k salary no equity as a consultant software developer. Should I counter their offer and if so what would be a reasonable counter offer? After reading posts here I'm tempted to pass and go for another position at a company with higher TC. TC 74k YOE 3
You should be able to get a little more as a consultant, but I’d go ahead and take the deal and build up your resume/experience.
If you are in DC just join until you can jump to Amazon. Booz sucks and your job will be basically fixing the government while billing 50/hours a week...
Is working at Amazon any better than working for the government consultant firms? Especially considering their DC HQ is there specifically to serve the government.
Yeah, you would be looking at 150k instead of 100k. More if you got security clearing
Stay away from Booz Allen. I was with them in the glory days when 401k was 10% match and before Carlisle Group. They have gone WAY downhill.
Isnt that the firm Snowden was part of? Why is it so low? FAANG easily doubles that for a new grad. Granted that's bay area but still
Tier 2 companies also pay 130-150k for a new grad...
