Bossman wants me to commute in 4 inch of snow
I'm a software engineer carrying the entire mobile app department because I AM the mobile department. There is no one else. I do full stack, including server management, APIs, cloud infra, etc. I do everything. He pays me jack shit at 3 YOE and he's bishing cause I don't wanna drive in 4 inches of snow tomorrow morning. Tell him you got stuck in snow and take day off. Spend the next 3 days WFH telling him that you’re fixing your car, etc.
Do you get paid like you're the whole mobile dept? If not, you need to remind your boss about that during the next review cycle 😅 Also, if you're the only engr, your boss ought to prioritize your safety. If you get hit by a bus, it's not like your boss has a backup ready to go...
