How's Boulder for raising a family? Considering a move there, 2 kids in PK-5 age. Considering senior tech management opportunities. TC >400k yoe 16 #colorado #boulder #raisingfamily #techjobs
It's awesome..if you like snow. With 400k tc you can live like a king. Schools are very good too.
Thanks! Any specific area that you would suggest? I heard Table Mesa or Louisville/Lafayette but am seeing inconsistent reviews. Requirement is less than 20 minutes commute from the FAANG offices in Boulder downtown.
All of the areas you mentioned are going to be just fine, not sure what the inconsistent reviews say. If you're looking for a nightlife, the only place you'll get that is in downtown Boulder or on the Hill. Louisville/Lafayette have their own cute little strip downtowns but they aren't the same, but are still plenty for dinner and drinks. Gunbarrel is also worth looking into.
The brightest engineer I've met went to school in Boulder, and returned for an excellent job after college. I've never met anyone who lived there and did not love it. Congrats, there are some great people and good offices
Thanks. I am thinking it deeply now. Choice is whether to stay in one big hub (Bay area or SeaTac, cannot be more specific sorry) or move and take a bigger role albeit in a satellite office. Trying to gather as many data points as possible as not everything boils down into TC...
Love it there
Great. You should be a radical leftist to really feel at home though.
Sounds good to me
Welcome to Boulder!
