People working at Box, what’s your take on valuation of the company? I feel that box is very innovative and it has huge upaide potential but somehow potential is not realized yet. Microsoft is huge threat but at the same time market ia huge and there are companies not tied to Microsoft ecosystem and for those companies, Box is a great option. If box growth rate can come back to 25%-30% then stock can trade at 10x revenue!
I dont understand how companies like box or dropbox are still in business. Google, Microsoft, Amazon all offer competing services and they can destroy dropbox and box on price
There are more companies than big 5 that innovates in modern workplace category. Slack, zoom, service now and many others. Box plays well with these tools so I still see huge market for Box. Box provides great way to manage content with high security and compliance as well as helps with work flow automation. I can see it’s good strategy for many companies to use box as content management platform and use diverse tools instead of stuck with Microsoft ecosystem.
@yhlk78 - Your comment is equivalent to someone saying “I don’t understand why Uber exists, taxis provide rides to people.” Have you used Box? If you have, have you made use of the platform vs. the simple concept of storing a file in the cloud? Google, Amazon, Microsoft offer competitive prices for the simplest functionality of Box, nothing else.
So, then your question is about how good their sales team is.
Yeah I guess. They are consistently named as most innovative in cloud content management. I love their strategy focused on security, privacy and workflow automation. Also interoperability between different applications (slack, zoom, service now etc).
Getting ready for an acquisition by salesforce?
Been always wondering why box ain't dead yet.
Hard to compete with free no matter how good your stack. Microsoft gives cloud storage for free. Im not optimistic
True if you are in Microsoft ecosystem. Microsoft too provides big security/privacy promise. But if company is not in Microsoft ecosystem then box is a great alternative
It's fucked don't buy it lmao...
