Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
evaluating an offer at Box, does Box have yearly refresher grant during performance review cycle.
I did and the HR said they don’t know
Wtf. That’s a bad sign.
Please elaborate ? What’s a bad sign. No company would tell you that these are yearly refreshers
What role are you looking at
Product management
I have not heard of a yearly refresher grant, maybe it’s team specific
Wow so no one would get additional RSUs at the time of annual review ?
Do you know if product management provides it ?
What's the offer?
Its a sinking ship
Why would you say that
meh.. people have been saying that for like 10 years now and it's doing just fine. The fact that they are still hiring in this situation proves that.
Yes, we get yearly performance based equity refreshers. I've been here 7 years and have never NOT got a refresher each year
TC?
Yearly refresher is for individuals with high performance. But its not the full refresher normally like about half maybe less. At the 2 year mark you should get a full refresher from what you got at the hiring point.
Refreshers are not guaranteed and not offered in a lot of organizations within Box. Personally I do not get annual refreshers. I only get more RSUs during a promotion or in rare cases a lateral change. Due to the pandemic the earlier cycle this year was also different in that most annual merit increases were halted or minimized. Though people up for promotion did get a raise and RSUs. It’s a bit surprising the recruiter couldn’t find out that information for you. We’ve had large turnover in Product Management and Product Marketing. If you join Box, make sure you believe in the mission and the platform. There are a lot of gems here but an equal amount of land mines. In general, its much different grass than Apple but not necessarily greener.
It's not guaranteed. It depends on your performance. But in my nearly half a decade at this company, most people get it.
From my experience if you had interviewed with someone at HR, that is something that you would be able to safely ask them.
I did that for Snapchat. I was misled
