I get brain farts during tech phone interviews. I think subconsciously I just want to get out of that situation and end up doing silly mistakes which I can't even point out myself during the interview. I'm in firmware, which requires less than 5 lines of code usually but I still mess up. I can code fine just by myself. What should I do? More pramping? Mock interviews? TC a big never mind YOE 6
I used to feel the same during onsite interviews. Especially the ones that come late in the day. I usually start thinking what the hell I am doing here. Exhaustive and sad 😔
So then how’d you clear Google interviews?
Yeah I have noticed that I mostly mess up the second question during the interview
Sounds like you need a beta blocker
A what?
propranolol is an example. Some are over the counter, some require a prescription. It's used to calm the nerves.
Get drunk next time
Be in the situation more until you get used to it
Care less about the results of the interviews. Recruiters can smell when your in need
Yea meditation, which I have yet to try. I zone out and get brain fogs occasionally. Counseling is also something that I plan to try.
