What brand value does OCI have in the regions like USA and Europe, I have heard that in states it does have decent brand value cos the tech community is kind of aware about some next gen cloud services that oracle is building. Oracle pay will likely beat average offers from any FAANG in US. However not a single person i know joined oracle despite great offers because of the shit work/brand value. If you value WLB and Money more than other factors, its a good deal.
WLB is not guaranteed in Oci . I know from a personal friend. Not just because they have more work but because their tools are shitty and execution and management Vision is non existent. I don’t even want to talk about on calls
I did some research on LinkedIn, I found many folks from Amazon joined Oci recently. I could also find a few who joined from Microsoft/LinkedIn
The only two votes on “same tier as FAANG” are probably OCI folks :) Having known folks who worked at Oracle, it is wayyyyyy behind any FAANG just from a cultural as well as a technical standpoint.

What to do with brand value if you are skilled to get through any interview and getting paid more! As long as OCI pays more who cares faang. I think it must be Indians who have created another cast system. Wtf tier1 college and tier2 where you have to do same shit without knowing the big picture.
Oracle is Oracle!! The only difference oci makes is they pay more money and nothing else. I recently went through thier loop and they tired to mimic amazon leadership values style and send the prep flyers similar to that. The recruiters are clueless and lethargic too. They are rude and ghost you even if you have cleared the screen. Process takes months to say yes or no. Panel is worst with no idea of what to cover. All of them come and cover the same questions and try to artificially relate to values. No tech stuff for senior roles ;) Also some of thier application migration to cloud also they brand as OCI. This is scam, don't fall for it.
