Hi all, Looking to network and/or job referrals! I’m currently a project manager at the 3rd largest single family residential home builder in the US within their top producing division. I’ve been with the company ~4 years and held 3 different roles over the years. My experience consists of 2 years primarily in Escrow/Loan Processing with the remainder in Business Operations/Project Management. WLB has gotten pretty bad over the last 6 months and I’m pretty much burnt out at this point. I’m looking to finally transition into tech and scale my income which I suspect being under market comparative to my skills/experience since the root cause of the poor WLB the last 6 months is due to half of senior leadership being poached to a direct competitor. Since I’m looking to pivot industries I’m not interested in going to a competitor to do the same thing…I’m looking for growth. TC right now is ~120k (dependent on bonus). I’m optimally looking for a fully remote position either as a Technical or non Technical Project Manager/Product Manager. I have some knowledge in programming, mainly front end web development that I began learning a few months ago mainly as a hobby but I have recently taken it more seriously to be utilized as a scalable vertical in the future. This contains: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React. At this point in the game I believe merging these two skill sets together makes me a much more appealing asset than trying to utilize them individually. I have completed certs in Agile, SDLC, and Scrum along with in progress certs for Lean Six Sigma, and cloud computing (AWS & Google). With all that being said who’s hiring for FTE remote roles? -Thank you in advance!
Could you CM data centers? It sounds like you want to leave the infrastructure world behind
I haven’t given the commercial side of development much thought due to the idea of working fully remote. I have a “hybrid work schedule” by the technical definition but that pretty much consisted of constant site drives to various projects in my area. So i’m never truly home I’m just not in the office. I’m actively managing a 502 million budget across all my projects for just land development/infra not inclusive of vertical or the individually homes themselves. Lately with the personnel shortages I’m in the office everyday just trying to keep all the plates spinning with the occasional site visit to put out a fire when needed.
Maybe ask for a referral to Procore.
