The company seems to have a reputation for having a unique culture. I wanted to get more insight from the people who actually work there or have worked there in the past. I'm looking to join as an investment associate. Thanks.
Reading Principles I feel like I might fit into the weirdo culture, but never interviewed. I know some people who have worked there, they say some of the tech stack is really horrible. Information is actually very siloed. Recruiter told me pay is not as good as Citadel, but I know the managers make crazy money. If he gets me an interview I'll write more about my experience lol.

TC YoE Worst part about working there? If you're video recorded constantly, does the culture implicitly emphasize appearances? Do you feel like you need to be giving work your 100% and if so are the incentives good enough to make it worth it?
225 / 5 yoe (low but long story there, dm if curious). Worst part is that we have a lot of tech mistakes we made in the past that we are detangling. And yes that's taking into consideration culture etc. Re: recorded constantly - honestly I think it does the opposite of reinforcing appearances. From working at a more "show face” type company before BW, I really disliked working with people who were all show and no throughput. The transparency means you see thru the bullshit and can focus on outcomes. Like there's no way to make it look like you're working hard if you're not. I do feel like I need to give 100% at work but that's because I personally enjoy being part of incredibly high performing teams. I appreciate the fact that the people I work with expect that from me. It's not for everyone but I personally really enjoy it. And yes the incentives make it totally worth it (TC, perks, personal and career growth, mentorship, etc).
What levels does BW have? And what would an "Engineering Lead" be?
Hear mixed things. Went to a recruiting dinner a year back and wasn’t impressed with the people I spoke to. Felt like they were compensating for something and had an unhealthy combo of elitism and insecurity. That’s my strict personal opinion. I’m sure some people would love their culture but the entire thing is built around “trust and total transparency” and I didn’t get an honest vibe from them. Just one new grads uneducated opinion. Ended up withdrawing my candidacy after the phone screen
And not meaning for this disparage anyone there. I’m certain they were all very smart and lead exceptional lives
