Targeted towards software people And do you have any fully remote workers (out of area?) i have to become ready to be a company slave and lose 1-2 hrs per day in my car, prepping my expectations i already go in once a week, so twice isnt bad, but four times and i will be sad
People work 24*7 , they have no life. Even after staying 9 years at broadcom, it's hard to get 2 week wfh in a year.
Even for software folks ? Do they have decent benefits ? Are they published somewhere ?
Only benefit is RSU
Yikes, RTO will be a deal breaker for me unfortunately…then again I probably will get laid off before even having to face that problem 🤷🏻♂️
Dude - WFH is only question #2. I will worry about if question #1 (do I have a job?) gets answered as yes. 😊
I live several hundred miles from a VMWare office 🤷🏻♂️ There isn’t any in my state.
what about bcom office😉
Oh wow, I’ve actually never looked that up. Hrm 🤨
Broadcom employee are not on blind?
Came over in Symantec acquisition. No offices near me. Have WFH since then full time
Where do you live ?
Thank you for sharing this!
5 days a week. Yes, there are several fully remote employees in my org. Most of them are > 50 miles from a Broadcom office, but a few cases of those within driving distance but got exemptions because of how valuable they were. Also medical exemptions. That said, a lot of people game the system with attendance once they understand how it's measured and minimum expectations. Most mid level management are flexible as long as you get your work done. For days when collaboration is needed, people make sure to be there. Frankly, the expectation is simply what was normal in a pre-Covid world, it isn't something draconian. I can understand people with kids/pets and medical situations, but calling yourself a "company slave" is a bit much.
Could you explain more about how it's measured and minimum expectations?
Every All hands meeting, there is one slide showing the daily attendance per office. I would assume they are looking at the badge scan daily
lol wake the fuck up
Explain
