If you respect your brother, please don’t brag about his exploits. I am sure he is brave and doesn’t need social media validation, maybe you do. Please don’t attract unnecessary attention to you or family when your brother is in special ops. You don’t want to jeopardize national security.

Yes, in a blackops mission. We didn't know he was a special forces op back then. It was a secret. He died 12 years ago, and much later was it disclosed that his unit was a MARCOS regiment. We knew, he was in the army, was a commando, but the rest was undisclosed
How did you know he was a MARCOS?
Like I said in the post right before this one, after his death finally the status was disclosed by the army through official chanbels
If you never talked to him about that, what could you know about it that would be of interest and not publicly available information?
The intent wasn't to disclose secret, and I wouldn't know much of it, but I found a lot of info by speaking to a buddy of his, in the same group, he is retired too, and was one of the few folks who came from the government to give us the news of his death in the field. I knew him from before as he had come to our place a few times when by brother used to be in town.

I am sure he appreciates you, all of us. Very few in India actually say thank you to the armed forces that protect the borders relentlessly. Even do we have Vijay diwas etc, those arent publicized for the right reasons.
