Hi, my gf and I are moving to Seattle and we are considering living near Jackson Street. It's very close to Chinatown/little Saigon. How's the neighborhood? Do you recommend living there? Thanks!
No. That’s probably the very last place I would want to live in Seattle. I used to take the light rail to the International District stop everyday for work and that neighborhood is a disaster.
Dang. Why do you say that? Because of homeless people?
A lot of reasons. - A lot of things close early because not a lot of people live down there. I can’t tell you much to do after business hours. - A lot of tourists come through on baseball, football, and soccer games. And they have a lot of big concerts down there also. - The Mission men’s shelter is down the street that causes a lot of problems. People getting stabbed on that block is pretty common. - Tents block most sidewalks. You could probably search that they cleared the neighborhood of tents the other week to film a movie, but everything goes back to the way it was when outside money leaves. Any other place to live is better.
No it seems to have a lot more incidents than the rest of the city
hell no, unless you want to get stabbed
I wouldn't stay south of downtown for any reason. Those neighborhoods give me the creeps. The FB office is in Westlake, some nice neighborhoods for you would be Westlake, south lake Union, Eastlake, queen anne.
Queen Ane, Fremont, South lake union are good Capitol hill is also ok depending on your style Avoid any anywhere near seattle downtown. Just don’t go there
Shitty place, try avoid
Lotta homeless I seen ppl shooting up in the street.
Oh man. Glad I asked here. I'm looking at places near Pacific Rim Center Shopping Mall. Is that neighborhood terrible too?
You’ll hear ambulance driving by day and night
