Business Process Consultant

Hi Folks, Writing this post to increase awareness about the Business Process Consultant role at SAP. If you’ve received an offer for this role or considering an application, this post is for you. The role might sound like you’re an SAP consultant, but in reality it’s a customer support job at its core. You’re expected to know a lot of topics in the most shallow fashion as to be able to talk with customers and fix/optimize/enhance their SAP systems. The pay is 🥜 and a few teams even have minimal to no work life balance because they’re short staffed most of the time. There’s also teams in which there’s plenty of folks coasting because of how laid back their customer services end up being. The skills being learnt here are not transferable and you could easily end up stunting your career growth as time passes. Teams have a very high attrition rate as well. TLDR; if you’re a new grad / experienced from non-SAP background avoid it at all costs, if you’re an experienced folk already familiar with SAP on the services/support/technical side from partner companies then you’ll feel right at home.
