Does your company let you fly business for work trips? Answer the poll
Yup every one even VP go in coach for 20hr flight!!
Amazon does it right. It is either everyone or nobody. Remember that everyone can upgrade the ticket on their own dime!
So flying for work will cost you money? Tacky.
You don’t have to upgrade, so no, no need to spend money for flying for work.
Facebook allows business class flight for any level if the distance is greater than 4,500 miles - this includes most transatlantic routes
Google gives you a cap that is close to business but not quite there. When you are under cap, u save half the dollars to be redeemed in future. Basically every alternate flight becomes business.
Google is by route no?
Yes caps are by route.
In Google any travel above 7000 miles gets a business class cap (most airlines fare with corporate discount program will fall under this cap)
What is the “cap” Googlers keep referring to?
Amount of money we can spend on each trip. So far i was able to get business fares each time
For us, it's over 9 hours on a single flight, I think.
We "should" be going for cheapest option.. However my manager approves business class for local all the time.
Here is how you play the game: get elite status first, then buy refundable coach if you can, or buy as late as possible. With this you get good chance to upgrade to business class.
Apple always business class for 6 hours plus
Amazon. Exclusively coach even for 15+ hours business flights. Outrageous.
Even for L8s and above?
Everyone in coach. EVERYONE. Even VPs (L10).
