PSA to overachievers: Please take it easy
Roblox is getting hammered after their earnings report. Bad stock, or buying opportunity?
So it’ll dip more
Damn. They didn't do any layoffs during the last 2 years' layoffs madness. Hopefully, it will remain to be the case going forward, too.
Wouldn't be the worst idea. CEO believed he's the next coming or Zuck or Elon and acts accordingly. But he had to alter his comp because his salary was based on stock growth, he's slowly eating crow, and now kind of gets the fact he's not the king of the Metaverse. The way they are growing, they'll level off at $4 -$4.5 billion in revenue. Probably $3 billion after cost of sales. Problem is that expenses are horrendous. He's just paying his frat boys millions, and they're feeding him lines about how they are going to conquer the world. That will eventually stop. Roblox's product is essentially the same as when they had 500 Employees. They could cut it to 1000 employees (from 3000) and still be perfectly fine. So, it expenses are reduced to $1 billion, and revenue, post cost of sales, is $3 billion, that's $2 billion a year. At a P/E ratio of 15, that's a $30 billion company. Right now, it's a $20 billion company. It's basically a high floor, low ceiling toy company disguised as a tech company. Once the CEO (who has the majority of controlling shares) realizes it and does a Twitter like cut (which is kind of starting), the stock should go higher.
I’m not one to hate on a company, but this… does bring a smile to my face 😁
Happy to hear that the suffering of others brings you happiness 🫡
How does a company with 2500 employees spend 270m on sbc this quarter? That's 108k per employee! Avoid
There are better stocks to buy 🍿
