How do people think about buying a SFH in SF these days given crime rate and downward trend of city? OTOH, prices are more reasonable (at least have appreciated less) compared to peninsula and South Bay. Also, less competition. Tc: 1M
I don't think you actually live here. City is currently on an upswing compared to last year this time. More events, safer, and generally more police presence in the city recently. Oakland fucking sucks though, I hate Oakland.
True. I don’t live there. I live in South Bay. So have not much up to date info
I believe reported crime is going down. Not actual crime. SF is a shell what it once was will be a while if it comes back. If you don’t have/want kids it won’t be too bad. Burbs are probably a better bet in the long run.
Talk to Ruth Krishnan: she's an SF real estate agent and great at what she does. She will help you understand the market and what are good opportunities.
Check the actual crime data haha. Facts, not fox.
Actual crime data doesn’t record unreported crime by definition.
Stay on the West side of the city and you’ll be fine!
This! We love it out here.
CA needs to make highway 101 continue all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. There are no non-stop highways that go to the bridge. It’s ridiculous. And 19th avenue has tons of stop signs and doesn’t count. West side of SF has no good freeway access.
