Have intern offers for both. What would be better on the resume and for full time? IMC seems to have a better culture but Jump seems to perform better. Jump seems to be harder to get a return offer from and would most likely place me in Urbana Champaign. IMC is easier to get a return offer and is in Chicago. How does compensation grow after the first year? TC: 10K/mo for both
doesn’t jump have an office in chicago too?
They're full for the summer so I'd have to work in Champaign
champaign sucks
Seems like you're a UIUC student? In any case, both are pretty much equal.
Nah go to a different state school. Thanks
Definitely the one that is most likely to result in an offer.
OP can I PM?
Jump by far. IMC is less known. Not sure about TC but Jump will open more doors.
I have Google on resume, won't that open enough doors?
Sure it will. But what about in the financial sector? HFT firms want people that bring the special secret trading strategies from other firms. There are better such strategies at Jump.
