Got an offer from Honey (a company bought by PayPal) Base: $218k Bonus: 10% RSU: None Location: Los Angeles YOE: 11 I am also interviewed at Bird will likely get an offer from them but PayPal wants me to decide now before getting an offer from Bird.
I like the choice of companies you’re interviewing at, Honey, Bird 👍
What are you trying to say?
I would assume that they mean it’s good to be different and non-FAANG, which I agree with
You can probably get some RSUs since they’re owned by PayPal now
May I ask how much RSU you got when you joined?
100k RSUs T24
I think based is pumped up, might be because there are no RSU. Looks like very good offer. Better than RSU approach
What is the role? For swe or product, offer is low
SWE. What is your TC?
$240K with the recent stock increase. 3YOE
What level is this? You definitely need to ask for RSUs
No RSU’s = bad offer imo. That’s very surprising to me. Considering the PayPal stock is skyrocketing (doubled in the last 4 months) you’ll want on that train.
Will most likely go up even more due to lots of WFH being extended and no end near
CEO Dan states in every quarter that every employee in all levels should have equity in the company. So it is really weird that your package has none, by the base it is surely a high skilled position. Maybe Honey comp policy is not yet merged with PayPal.
So. What’s the TC ?

Pay looks good for La location. How’s the wlb at Honey?
It's amazing! There are ofc times when deadlines need to be hit and we pull long days for a week or something, but for the most part you work at your own pace and as long as it's reasonably productive, you'll be fine. I would definitely recommend is as a place to work to anyone 😊
WLB very good here at Honey! I look at the company Slack during off hours and basically everyone is offline
