Is this normal? Bydance negotiating only $5k above offer and saying it's as high as they can go because of location. It's for a non-SWE role that is a newly created JD. I already mentioned my other offer which is $30k more. They still won't budge.
And what will you do about it?
Take the other offer
You donβt event post TC and YOE. GTFO
You don't work in tech so I'm not gonna share it with you
Bruh ππππ
Bytedance will bend , decline threat give
Correct is yoda
You is thanks π
Speak Mandarin for higher TC
What if the hiring manager doesn't speak Mandarin
Even better. They'll be extra impressed
Have you been living under a rock? There are swarms of engineers out there looking for jobs, there is no incentive for bytedance to negotiate, there are people ready to join at lower TC
But op is worth it
Did you read? I have another higher offer and it's not engineering. It's a new role
Why don't you take the other offer? It's perfectly normal for a company to decide what the role is worth to them even if the candidate is worth more.
Post the offers, might help understand as we generally pay well
170k base
For 1-2 or 2-1 SWE? Seems low to me
Are you Chinese? No then no.
What's the offer
