I just got contacted out of the blue by Apttus and Dataminr wanting to recruit me. I've been looking for something interesting and a change of pace but I'm not unhappy where I am right now. I started the interview process anyways to see what they had to offer but all I'm really getting from them is the high-level "this is what we do" answers. I've had a few phone interviews with both and will have an in person one with Apttus tomorrow. Thoughts on either of these companies?
Apttus was a client at my old company. Super tight with salesforce (surprised they haven't been acquired by them IMO) but their CPQ experience is pretty average and wasn't intuitive when I dealt with them. They're also in San Mateo at a very non descript/uninspiring office.
I interviewed at Apttus. Their office in San Mateo made me feel like I was at an Insurance company in the Midwest. They reminded me much more of the normal company's of my past than a high tech company.
Do not go to Apttus. The founder is trouble and that leaks all the way down. There are a few good people there, but pass.
Beware of apptus... they don't seem to be specific in their requirements
Can you elaborate a little more on this? I'm really interested in knowing more. Are you referring to projects or hiring goals?
Just check glass door. Place is a wreck.
