Is it worth the move?
Sr. software enfineer at blackline base: $160k RSU: $75k over 4 years 10% annual bonus. NO signing bonus. location is bay area. YoE: 2 years current TC $175k, no refreshers as we just went private. I am really very confused, is worth the move? I am currently well settled in my job, have good domain knowledge and capable of leading a project in near future. any insights would be helpful. thanks for your time,
So same money overall? Tldr; I'd stay unless blackiline will set you up for a big boost in success or growth If you really like where you are and you have growth potential, see where it goes. I only jump jobs that pay same or slightly less if it helps me down the line. I also know that if you have a real chance to lead and like your current culture, it sets you up for a great learning experience.
