Does anyone have an idea what to expect salary wise at Citi? Does office location make much of a difference? NYC, Long Island or Buffalo
I want to know more about VP level in NYC...
🥜
50-90. 70-125. Per 1 SD range.
NYC - Avp top end is 105k plus 10k bonus.. vp top end is 150k plus 20k bonus
Yes location makes a difference, I can hire 2 ppl in buffalo for price of 1 in NYC
Long island city is considered part of nyc network of offices
A new grad AVP SDE makes 70-85K in Dallas. No equity or target bonus; a sign-on bonus is possible for a strong candidate. Expect a raise of 2-4% every year and a bonus of 2-3K. Office perks vary by location; in Dallas these include cheap (but not free) onsite gym, cafe, and cafeteria. Health, life, and disability insurance are decent. 401(k) match is 100% up to 6% of your salary after one year of working there. There's also random other perks that you would expect at any large company, like free college prep assistance, access to learning resources like Udemy, cash reward program for healthy lifestyle choices, etc. Work life balance, mentoring, upward mobility, and interesting projects tend to be thin on the ground. This depends on your role and team, so ymmv.
the comments from citi employees below LOOL. in all seriousness though are you looking to negotiate a salary right now for a potential job or just for information? I think it depends but location definitely makes a difference
Thanks everyone
Based on Zone 1 (high cost locations) a VP - C13 at Citi makes: 75k (low), 125k (middle), 175k (max)
Does anyone ever get the max?
Sometimes yes. If you are looking to jump to citi def negotiate the highest you can.
Don’t do it
