Context: Someone from Infosys was insulted for not being "good engineers" and not being from "good company" while the person suffering through hard times in life. Look I myself like blind toxicity to some extent as it helps in calling out BS on face while being anonymous. But being entitled for the company you work for? Are you serious? Thinking you are a good engineer just cause you work in Amazon/XYZ company which basically hires LC practionsers is utter crap. I am saying this even after being one of the Amazon engineers. "Good Company", it's a subjective topic but let me ask, who made these companies good? Is it you or me? No right. so, Why feel so entitled over fixing small pieces of software while the bigger problems have already been solved by someone else? It's not like you are Linus torvalds, Jeff dean or James Gosling type figure. Even engineers like them are in their way to humility . Again even if you are a "good engineer" or work for a "good company", you just don't go on the streets and try to look down on other people. Not everyone has enough resources, environment, free time or motivation . Some might have their own goals, circumstances and perspectives in life which might not seem intuitive to you. Maybe use you LC skills in figuring out how different people can have different life. You spent your life on LC and still don't understand how many different "Test cases" we have when it comes to humans. TC: 27L Title: Not Entitled SDE
That TC is too low, what's your yoe?
Haa haa. Typical " I have achieved so much based on my TC" group. When I worked in Infosys, business customers whom I worked with, became lifetime friends. I moved back to India a decade back. A business customer who travelled to India on a business trip recently (after a decade), took time off to travel to my city to meet me. How many of the FAANG folks have a customer relationship like that?
Also, getting hired in FAANG depends on the job market. If one doesn't work at FAANG then it doesn't mean he is not capable of doing quality work or solving leetcode problems.
True, some people aren't even interested in working for faang
