Currently at Amazon and want to sell some of my RSUs to help diversify. I’m thinking of selling 1/3 of my RSUs every vest, then putting them into Vanguard index funds. I’m curious if others sell part of their RSUs each vest? Also, which index funds to people invest in? I am thinking VFTAX, VFIAX and VGT. TC: 280k #investments
VOO, VTI, VGT, VUG
Whats your allocation in these ETFs
Also do you do ETF over mutual funds?
VTSAX
BND, VNQ, VTI, VXUS for me. Those is my allocation: 15% in BND 5% in VNQ 64% in VTI 16% in VXUS Increase BND as you grow older.
VTI and chill. Add 20% VXUS if you wanna diversify more.
Why not fidelity
My 401(k) and RSUs are already in Fidelity. While it’s a pain to manage to separate accounts/brokerages, I wanted to remove any the risk of having all my money in one spot.
That shouldn't matter. Settled security holdings are not subject to insurance max. If Fidelity goes kaput your securities are still yours - they'll show up at another brokerage in a day or so. Only unsettled securities and cash are subject to the SIPC insurance limits.
