I can see that you are after big bucks, fair enough, but just improve youself and leave ARM, there is little diff between these two in Cambridge.
The best hope most CPU/GPU folks from the UK working at either Imagination or ARM has if they seriously want more comp is to prove themselves to be the best and either interview or be poached by a US tech company (Facebook/Meta/Apple/Google). Speaking as someone who has done it, be prepared to trade off that wlb and generous amount of PTO that you have in the UK.. it's an entirely different level of grey hair inducing crunch and pressure. But you'll make bank. Shoot for it if you want it - but be forewarned this is a world where your health and relationships come under serious stress. TLDR; ARM pay mediocre, wlb great. GPU or CPU no matter. Want money come to FAANG. FAANG make money work hard. Monkey go Obama grey. Monkey get divorced if no careful.
Op I'm looking for opportunity with arm. Can I DM you?
Qualcomm pays better. why move?
I'm looking to move to UK. I don't see my roles in QC UK
ARM GPU department isn’t a place where you will learn and grow. All the important big-wigs work elsewhere. If you intend to use it as a tramboline, thats fine but remember - not many have made it. I heard GPU division never made any profit but kept around just to counter potential threats from other companies. CPU division has better visibility and a more competent workforce.
Either is good. Internal growth on CPU is hard, but either team can land you job offers outside of Arm.
