Growth at Oracle OCI

How is working at Oracle OCI lately? Are the engineers getting good work, hike, refreshers, wlb? I am expecting an offer from OCI but I see some negative comments mentioning no refreshers/hike, bad wlb/culture etc. Can someone confirm pleaseeee YOE: 4.8 TC: 39L #engineering #software #swe #oracle #oci #oraclecloud #oracleoci @Oracle #backend #development

I feel whatever they are paying in terms of base and stocks it compensates to the hikes which is given in other companies. Atleast I don't think there will hikes/refreshers in OCI. WLB is team dependent. Try having a conversation with team members and see if they are working on new projects or they already have project in place. As far as I know, if the team where you are being hired already have a product, you will have ops heavy work and WLB will take a toll. If it is newly formed team you will have development work. WLB entirely depends on team and I personally feel it is not that bad compared to FAANG.

Thanks for the inputs, are you currently / in the past worked with OCI? If so, can I DM you?

Avoid OCI at all cost unless you are already jobless

Any specific red flags which you wanna call out?

Extremely toxic culture. Silent layoffs, 24/7 on call because issues every day in every code, Backstabbing is just normal to say least.
