I joined amazon last year, around 1.9 year tenure. A big 2nd year vest coming up at the end of this year. But decided to leave this sh1t hole company. Hence have a few question. 1. Do i need to return my sign-on bonus which are being given monthly on my 2nd year? 2. Will i get any rsu if i leave before my 2nd year vesting schedule? 3. Whats the severance package looks like, presented during PIP? I am in Germany TC: 150K Loc: Germany #tech
1 No but you won’t get the remaining monthly bonus 2 No you will not get RSU if you leave before vest May have to pay back relocation but might be one year stipulation. You’d also lose 401k match but probably don’t have this in Germany
Yeah I left within 2 years and they sent an email asking for the relocation back. I didn’t respond and wanted to see if they’d double down or let it go, because I’d read multiple accounts of people saying they won’t really go for it. The next email I got from Amazon was if I wanted to come back to Amazon for exciting opportunities. And the next like 10 emails. Including within the past week. Never paid it back, it’s been ~4y. In California, YMMV, this is not financial advice, etc

After failing focus plan. You will be presented with options (cash to leave or fight and get much less $ when you lose). 5 days to choose. Search blind, sooo much knowledge available.

Read through your signing doc, I think for me after a year of tenure the signing bonus was considered paid back
