CryptoCurrency companies decent for working at, as a dev?

Looking to pursue becoming a software developer at any of the crypto exchange companies, as I enjoy talking about, working on bitcoin, etc. Are the companies worth my time? Anyone working at one that they enjoy? I was thinking about Kraken, but what of coinbase, bittrex, etc? I guess my next question would be are the interviews horribly painful? #kraken #crypto #coinbase Thanks in advance.

You need to have a lot of domain knowledge and blockchain skill. Basically pull down bitcoin or similar source and be able to manipulate, add functions, understand deployment, and deploy in a test environment. Where it gets harder is that eth is it's own ecosystem and so double learning time. This is in addition to standard knowledge. Risks are higher as well. I interviewed with 2, and literally every single person was a PhD at one and vast majority at the other. Hardest fucking questions of my life.

Yeahhhhh so this isn’t necessarily true. You don’t have to be a crypto/blockchain expert by any means to work at Coinbase. We of course have extremely talented people in that area, but a company like Coinbase is building the infrastructure of the crypto economy, not just focused on one thing. There are dozens of products and focus areas that developers at Coinbase work on that aren’t directly tied to crypto/blockchain, but those opportunities are also available
