Is anybody in an HOA where they installed Flock Safety cameras? Wanted to see how the experience has been and if you would recommend them? The price is $2500 per camera per year, with a $650 installation fee.
I'm biased but I would highly recommend getting a Flock camera (Falcon).
Thanks, mind sharing an actual nighttime photo of reading license plates in the dark? I'm skeptical that the quality can be that good.
Sorry mate. I can't.
Lmao
Check if your County police is using them or not. If you have flock camera around it’s good to have them. I have heard a lot of cases where neighborhood having Flock cameras helped catching criminals and reducing crime. Otherwise go for whatever ALPR cameras your county police is using.
We have the license plate readers at the entrance of our community. I’d recommend them. Police can log-in and quickly access them, too, once they’re alerted.
Thanks. Have they helped in identification for a criminal incident? And do you have access to the footage yourself? We're comparing this to possibly installing our own enterprise grade cameras at a rough estimate of <$3000 per camera, with almost no ongoing fees.
Yes, they helped with several package theft cases. Regular community members don’t have access to the footage but HOA board members and police do. There’s a process to review the footage that was agreed upon by the community because of privacy concerns.
