Has anyone used Turo? How is your experience? How does the insurance work?
I own a fleet of 12 vehicles, AMA. Insurance is provided by Turo for an extra per day cost. Some, but not many, personal insurance companies will cover Turos rental agreement. Almost no CC programs will.
Curious. How busy are your vehicles? If all aren’t in use, how do you manage the parking etc?
It can be seasonal. We are about to enter the 90-95% utilization period with above average prices. In the 3-4 slower months of the year we still achieve about 80% by dropping price and providing perks other owners in the area don’t. We have a small house with two driveways and airport parking is only $8/day. Although we can fit 9 cars at home we have never had more than 5 at one time
I've used it! There's a few different insurance plans you can pick from. It's a great service and much cheaper than car rental
Got a Roush Mustang 5.0 for $42 a day. It was a chick magnet.
The insurance is through the app. Depending on the coverage selected turo will take a larger cut from owner. As owner was fine
Incorrect. What protection package the renter chooses has no effect on the per trip payout to the owner. However, the owner has three commission levels to choose from for all trips, each with a higher “deductible” when working a damage claim with a renter.
^^^ Literally just imagined Dwight saying FALSE.
