Moved from California to Washington. I need to keep paying california taxes on almost all my stocks. This makes my compensation way low for my level. My salary got adjusted when I moved, but my stock compensation didn't change. What are my options? If I ask for more RSUs, how do I start the conversation ( I believe it's my fault for not taking taxes in my account before the move, and Apple doesn't care about where you come from).
Usually RSU grants for a particular level has a set range regardless of the location. However ask for more. Worst they'll say is no.
I feel dumb for not negotiating RSUs

Move back
Not an option
Why not?
How much did you base compensation change when you moved? What org and role are you?
20% SWE
Your base adjusted to 20%? That’s steep. I was exploring the move from WA to CA and I was told adjustment would be at max 10%
Don't sell, take loan on stocks
