A friend of mine told me that his ex, a Facebook employee, hacked into his Instagram account and deleted DM’s from people they deemed a threat. Yep, it’s what you think. Just wondering… Is this possible or could the story be fabricated? Facebook Employee Alleged Role: Network Engineer
Definitely not.
Hey Mark Zee, stop being sarcastic here!
Not being sarcastic.
public posts are reviewed continuously for content.

I wanted to answer here but Zuckerberg messaged me and made me delete what I had written. He is the supreme robolord with access to everything on the internet.
“Claimed Facebook employee” ? Sure.
Did your friend also have to give this guy gift cards to prevent future hacks? 🤔

Its very much possible but not because he is fb employee but because he is an ex!
I’ve heard of creepy employees accessing private information to stalk their ex’s and stuff but 🤷
Generally speaking, improper data access will get you canned almost immediately... So I'm guessing this person was lying to flex Maybe 10 years ago but definitely not happening now
Lol. It is of course possible to access content on other people’s accounts, but it is very heavily red taped and monitored. Must go through an approval process first and it is unlikely to get an approval if it’s someone you know even if it is for a legitimate reason (like debugging something). Any attempts to bypass this approval process will get you fired the next day.
