I badly want a Porsche 911 4S - it's been my dream car ever since I would see few of them in the Microsoft Building 36 parking lot everyday. My boss had a manual 2016 one and it was a beauty. I support my parents as they don't work - the rental income pays for their monthly expenses. Parents live in our home in a different city, my wife and I live on rent. I'm currently an L6 SDM @ amzn - TC ~400 NW ~ 1.3M (equity in 2 homes, personal and rental, 401k and cash savings) My wife makes 80-100k Family income 475-500k Age 29 YOE: 7 Car costs around 120-180k; depending on config and whether I buy new or CPO. Test drove a 2018 Turbo with < 15k miles for 150k. Any 911 owners can comment on their experiences?
Be more practical
You are a sad person
@Google By saving up money till when you need sketches to get into 08 odyssey?
You’ll probably regret it. Everyone I know who has does and stops driving theirs after a while
Why would they stop driving it?
They’re not comfortable and after a while they’re just another car, you don’t appreciate the engineering or looks or whatever. I have a buddy who got a GT3 and the ride was so rough around town he never drove it. There was a director at meta who had a fancy Porsche and he ended up commuting in a Toyota after a week or two.
No
Yes, you can. But you should remember: Porsche 911 is the car of midlife crisis
elaborate? why?
I saw 10+ Porsche owners and all of them bought it to change their life after 35 years old
You’re only young once. Go buy that car! By the way Porsche CPO program is really good I have the Panamera 4S and FUCK this is so awesome to drive!! Very practical and fun too. I had the RS5 before but sold it a few years ago. I’ll buy the 911 when I hit my 60s…or 50s lol
Exactly you have no kids you work hard as hell and you’re saving for your future. Have some fun in life never no what’ll happen.
People will say do the financially smart thing and don’t go for it unless you can pay it outright. Not everyone can just drop all of that money for a car in one go. You may be able to afford it now but will probably look for financing options. Assess if you can keep paying it off for a committed timeline or earlier without worry of medical emergencies or getting laid off. If not, then now may not be the best time. I’m a firm believer that if you had dreams, that you should go for it. I do also believe that you should be practical about it. So hope my advice helps.
Just spec’d my 911 4S . Locks in soon! Go for it.
The kind of energy I want lol
Pls just buy the damn thing. You have and make more than enough money

I am in similar financial situation, still pushing my 08 Odyssey lol. But i would say go for it. But if you can afford a 4S why not go for a used McLaren
Don’t give up on that
IMO 911 is the best daily driver sport car - Mclarens grab more attention and high maintenance cost.
