Can I fire him?

Two years ago, an interviewer said wrong to my correct answer during the interview and lied to the hiring committee when submitting the feedback. My recruiter said he could do nothing. This time, I lucked out by not encountering him during the interview and will join Google in two weeks. Just yesterday, I found out he might be reporting to me. Can I fire him on Day 1 @Google? I should get the justice done, shouldn’t I?

Jesus!! I hope OP isn't a troll. He went on depression for getting rejected at G due to him speculating an interviewer lying. I sure don't want to work under a pyschopath like you.

How does OP know what the interviewer wrote exactly to HC. That's confidential

No but I think any of these big companies should have a way to filter out these bitter people. Sad for his team and for G

    1) don't fire him, there will be backlash on you since it's weird to fire people as soon as you're hired 2) Make his life hell for a year before he quits

How do you know interviewer's feedback? I thought we are not supposed to know and the recruiter shouldn't tell you.

If only it was easy to fire someone... You've never worked at a big company, have you.

Op failed an intern interview and is thinking that getting hired at L3 is equal to being a manager.

Seems that the hiring bar is low nowadays at Google. I'm sad that nobody has spotted that you are not a good fit for a manager position at Google.

No need to prove further you are a prick. You have made a pretty strong case already.

I wouldn’t. If you handle the situation well, he could turn into your most loyal employee.
