Can I go back to a recruiter/company soon after rejecting an offer?
At the start of the year I was offered an SE position at Smartsheet, and rejected the offer as I had accepted an offer elsewhere. After starting at that other company I've come to realise that that was a mistake, as the role I accepted is basically just DevOps (even though the title is SWE and I was told I'd be doing SWE work). Could I go back to the recruiter at Smartsheet and discuss joining? Or will this be a bad look and should I just search elsewhere? TC: ๐ฅ YOE: 1.5
As a recruiter Iโd say this happens! Hopefully you ended the opportunity with smart sheet on a positive note and they should be receptive.. it will certainly depend if they have a similar opening so timing may not work but definitely worth the outreach!
