Can I put microsoft on my resume if i work at their subsidiary?
For example, if i work at github, can I put "Microsoft (Github)" on my resume? This is just an example. What if I work at an unknown small subsidiary acquired by FAANG. It will obviously improve my resume if I put the parent company name.

No one is stopping you from putting whatever you want on your resume - nothing wrong with GitHub though IMO

Considering GitHub has a superior brand, not sure why you would? LinkedIn does as well. Only put Microsoft if you work on Project Jedi.

If it’s small enough that no one has heard of it then I would say GitHub (a Microsoft company) or some shit like that
