Hello, I have received one offer and I have accepted it since I didn’t have any offer that time. Now I have multiple interviews on and I would like to pick those if I’m able to clear it. But from coming week they’ll start my H1B transfer and they’re doing through Fragomen with premium so I’m assuming it’ll take month for the transfer considering how slow fragomen is. So if I receive any offer in between will I be able to reject previous offer and stop the H1 transfer? Will it impact my H1B in any way? And how bad it’ll burn bridge with the company if I do so. Company is Walmart. Edit: Now as I have visa answer, can people tell me how bad it’ll look if I do that with Walmart? Will they black list me? YOE:2.5 CurrentTC: $140k #visa #transfer #h1b #walmart #fragomen #offer
Yes and no impact but it might burn the bridge with the company
Thanks for answering
You can reject or resign at any point. No Force here. If you can, inform before the actual petition submitted, because that’s when they have monetary loss due to fee etc.
Yes OP. Let them know now if that’s the route you want to take
Got it. Thanks for letting me know
Burning a bridge to Walmart? Do it. They have such shady lowball practices. You’ll definitely get better pay at other companies as well.
I’m worried about ethically as well. :( As the Hiring Manager seems nice
Abey saare ache hote hain jab tak unko tumse kaam hota hai (everyone is nice as long as they need something from you). I interviewed at Walmart and they made and offer 40 percent lower than my current TC. And when I told them wtf, they just stopped responding. This was after multiple rounds of interviews over weeks.
You will burn the Walmart bridge, but take the offer that best meets your needs.
Yup, you can. Try to put it in a polished way
Yes. I had a friend who had H1B transfers completed by 4 employers in parallel
Yo. That is 3 employers upset but that is how at will works. Depending on when you renege it can show up in employment records. Like if you renege 2 days before or sorthung their system probably has you
If you consider the other offer/company to be better than walmart, why worry about burning bridge with walmart? Aren't you already better off?
You can say no even after "transfer" is approved. You will be okay as far as immigration is concerned. Employer might blacklist you
Thanks for answer
This may look bad even for your new company. They interviewed you thinking you are from company-A, but if the transfer is complete and if your visa is with Walmart now, the new company will know when they are filing for your transfer.. They may think this is unethical that you accepted an offer and that you are rejecting now because you got a better offer
