Can I start working for another company while I am still on payroll for current company for but they kicked me out?
So I am planning to resign and put my 2 weeks notice. I am going to a competitor and I want to be upfront about this and not burn bridges (please don't comment on this decision). My company policy is that they kick you out immediately when you are going to a competitor but still pay you for 2 weeks. I am not sure if I am still an employee during these two weeks or they are just paying for it.
Can I start working for my next employer within these two weeks? Basically getting paid by both companies. Is there any legal restrictions?
