I’m currently a contractor at Facebook... I wanna make a random side project that lets users summarize their Instagram posts in a creative way. Will I get in trouble for this? I’m not an FTE, and I’m in no way using any internal knowledge for this... however I feel like it might trigger a red flag if I even create an application/ request an API token. Should I use a different account? Or is this an immense NO, since FB could theoretically be working on a competing version of this... TLDR: I want to make one of those “Top 9” “year in review” things for Instagram posts and I’m a fb contractor. (Not working on Instagram). Will I get in trouble if I make my web app public and this somehow gets actual users? What are the consequences?
Read the API usage agreement
If you use public apis no prob i think. It's more about if you make money out of it it might be a potential issue, but probably not
