Awesome exit for Jet.com founder though

I would compare this to google's acquisition of nest.

But inverted, where Google has an awesome internal stack and similarly Jet.com (although, F#...), vs Nest and Wal-Mart.

Amazon is a monster of a company. There is no way Walmart can touch them now. They missed their chance like 15 years ago.

Walmart doesn't have Sam Walton and Amazon has Jeff Bazos. so, Walmart cannot beat Amazon.

2 losers (walmart online biz) combined together doesn't make winner

doesn't the $3 billion valuation seem crazy?

Uber brolympicz Aug 8, 2016

It's desperation from Walmart. Guess what's going to happen to Jet.com? Same thing that happened to Kosmix. The founders get super rich, and within 3 years everyone that made the company great has moved on. When will they learn that acquihires are usually a waste of money?

Amazon tw8867 Aug 8, 2016

In just one year Jet.com will have hit $1 billion in sales. A 3x multiplier on revenue for a 1 year old company is very risky, but a steal if their success was just the tip of the iceberg. Hell, Amazon should have bought Jet and made this guy sign a stronger non-compete this time ;) jk

Lulz....not a chance.
